Below are the results of my first happy drawing experiment with the Wacom Cintiq. The black and white version is my initial drawing. I’ve also included the colour version I did subsequently.

I like the fact that it looks like a marker drawing. Am I being too chuffed with this? I feel like I’ve just discovered the wheel while everyone else is using those hoverboards from Back To The Future.

Colouring-in using Photoshop is such a pleasure. Separate layers for each colour; the option to change colours easily, it’s all good. I believe the Cintiq comes with a copy of Painter which seems better suited to natural drawing than Photoshop — I’ll have to give it a try. You can read about my adventures with the Wacom Cintiq here.
