What do you do with two-thousand pounds of advanced drawing technology? I did this

Below are the results of my first happy drawing experiment with the Wacom Cintiq. The black and white version is my initial drawing. I’ve also included the colour version I did subsequently.

I like the fact that it looks like a marker drawing. Am I being too chuffed with this? I feel like I’ve just discovered the wheel while everyone else is using those hoverboards from Back To The Future.

Colouring-in using Photoshop is such a pleasure. Separate layers for each colour; the option to change colours easily, it’s all good. I believe the Cintiq comes with a copy of Painter which seems better suited to natural drawing than Photoshop — I’ll have to give it a try.
