Mighty Logo

This is my first official contribution to the exciting world of Web 2.0. Now where’s my gold-plated Ferrari

A tv-listings web site hardly seems something to get excited about… Well this one will be the exception, and not just because I designed their logo. Well okay that’s the main reason you should be excited but beyond that the site is very cool indeed (and it has a great logo).

The Mightyv Logo

Designed by Matthew Gilbert

Mightyv started life when the BBC ran a competition for the most innovative use of their listings data. Leo and Leon (who I know) created and entered Mightyv and won (which was very exciting). For their trouble they received a server and all the gold they could eat… okay the gold thing is iffy but they did get a server.

“…all the gold they could eat…”

Anyway they decided they needed a new logo (to entice those venture capitalists I guess) which is where me and the Superhero TV Guy come in. I hand-crafted him in Illustrator and after some to-and-fro with regards to muscles and capes the final little guy came to be.

Sadly the site is wasted on me because I don’t watch television but that’s no reason why you shouldn’t go there immediately. It’s free (which is the right price) and it works really well (I had a demonstration).
